The MUSICA AD CONFLUENTEM international early music festival is an annual event being held in September and October hosting concerts in churches and other venues in the city of České Budějovice and surroundings in South Bohemia. Since its first edition in 2018 the festival has presented repertoire of the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque performed by ensembles from the Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and others.
The term of "confluence" not only refers to the Vltava and Malše rivers of the České Budějovice city, but also to the different centuries and historical styles music which the festival is based on.
Besides inviting renowned artists performance opportunities are also given to the young musicians and ensembles. In addition to the festival concerts various subsidiary events (early music workshops, photo exhibitions etc.) enrich the main programme every year
